Elevate’s client is a Top- Tier Law Firm with offices around the world. They are in need of a Structured Products lawyer to support the Structured Products London legal team.

Key activities of the Structured Products Team include:

  • Drafting and reviewing of the legal documentation in relation to bespoke derivatives, repo or securities lending transactions, collateralised financing transactions, structured deposits, agreements relating to the distribution of products.
  • Setting up of various schemes dedicated to the company’s clients and employees.
  • Establishment and maintenance of various issuance programmes and related agreements for the company or special purpose vehicles used as issuers of notes, certificates, warrants, preference shares, bonds and covered bonds.
  • Drafting final terms of warrants, securitised derivatives and bespoke structured debt agreements, New product Committees, dispute resolution and engagement with the Structuring teams including Compliance, Tax and other internal stakeholders.


  • Assisting with day to day transaction management of structured products issuances, principally in the form of a Warrant wrapper (but may also include issuances of Notes and Preference Shares) and referencing underlyings across the asset class spectrum.
  • The drafting and review of issuance documentation, such as Final Terms, which may be based on agreed templates and with or without the assistance of external counsel.
  • The ongoing maintenance and annual update of  issuance programmes.
  • Advising the business line on structured product and issuance-related matters, including the application of relevant regulations.
  • Managing a smooth issuance process to ensure all legal issues are dealt with and relevant internal stakeholders are kept appraised of progress.

Skills for Success:

  • The ability to pick things up quickly and working autonomously, as well as handle the front office in person in a professional and confident manner.
  • A good understanding of the regulatory framework within which structured products are brought to market.


  • 5-8 year PQE lawyer qualified in England and Wales.
  • Solid experience in documenting structured products issuances pursuant to Prospectus Directive compliant programmes is essential.


  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Qualified solicitor or barrister in the UK or equivalent jurisdiction.
