eCommunication Surveillance Analyst

The legal and compliance landscape is changing and Elevate’s team are some of the most respected leaders in the sector as we continue to deliver cutting edge products and services in support of legal and compliance departments globally. Elevate’s continuing rapid expansion means the UK team needs to hire an eCommunications Surveillance Team as part of a new service offering. We are now looking for eight people with an interest or prior experience of compliance, market abuse or eCommunications surveillance in a financial services setting.

As an Elevate eCommunication Surveillance Analyst, you will work with our clients to identify potential instances of market abuse by the screening of pre-selected electronic communication data and escalating as necessary. As part of our rapidly expanding business, you will have the opportunity to develop your career as a subject matter expert in a high growth area of compliance.

  • Interested or have prior experience of the legal and compliance subject matter, especially within a financial services setting.

Specifically you will be:

  • Screening large amounts of electronic communication quickly and effectively using client developed guidelines on market abuse.
  • Identifying and escalating potential instances of market abuse.
  • Working with client teams to ensure the efficient escalation of relevant cases.
  • Providing reporting when necessary on the eCommunications Surveillance KPIs.

Skills for Success:

  • Prior experience in eCommunications Surveillance, trade surveillance, market abuse or compliance within a financial services setting.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Proactive with minimal need for guidance.
  • Familiarity with regulation surrounding electronic communication surveillance.
  • Familiarity with FCA regulations and its application to financial services clients.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills

Technical Skills:

  • Computer literate with good MS office base skills.
  • Experience with e-mail archiving software.
  • Experience with compliance and trade monitoring software
  • Experience with HP Autonomy of HP Surveillance or similar products.

Experience:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in eCommunication, trade surveillance, market abuse or compliance in a financial services firm.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree required
  • Fluency in a second language is a plus.
