Elevate’s client and global technology company is currently undergoing significant change across its legal and compliance functions as they react to the changing regulatory landscape. To support this change, Elevate is supporting them with temporary resources to work on a wide variety of projects.

As a Senior Trademark Attorney you will be acting as In-House Counsel on the Trademark Team, part of the company's IP Strategy Group, where they manage the company’s global trademark and domain portfolios, which include prosecution, enforcement, and litigation.   

Specifically you will:

  • Manage company’s trademark portfolio globally working with attorneys from around the world.
  • Instruct, supervise and collaborate with outside counsel on trademark disputes, including administrative or trademark-office disputes, pre-litigation matters, and trademark litigation before the PTO.
  • Support global anti-counterfeiting efforts.

Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of 6 years' experience in all aspects of trademark law including counseling, prosecution, portfolio management, enforcement and dispute resolution. 
  • Knowledge of legal issues related to advertising and domain names, and enforcement issues within the digital environment. 
  • Experience dealing with online service providers and litigation in foreign jurisdictions. 
  • Must be able to manage and prioritize a large volume of counseling and enforcement work using our in-house tools and third party vendor platforms. 
  • Previous industry experience with Internet, media, and technology is a plus. 
  • Outstanding and clear communication skills; ability to think analytically to understand complex or ambiguous problems or issues and articulate solutions/conclusions clearly and concisely is required.
  • Must have highly strategic business acumen with ability to appropriately use judgement and risk-taking. 
  • Must be capable of creating one’s own agenda and deliverables based on strategy.
  • Must be agile and able to change behavior across range of situations.
  • Must have strategic business partnership skills:cross-functional leadership, business acumen & understanding of organizational dynamics, influencing skills, objectivity.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • JD (Juris Doctor) required.
