Legal Communications Consultant

As an Elevate Communications Consultant, you be responsible for supporting the development of various client's communication strategies. This role will be part writer, editor, project manager, communications planner and communications strategist. This position works closely with legal department leadership to create effective communications for the legal department to submit award applications, present at conferences, prepare internal communications, review articles for publications, and other requests to further the communication strategy of the department. This role requires 2-5 hours per week.

Specifically, you will:

  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations for delivering at conferences, internal presentations, and external speaking events. This includes working with legal department leadership to help develop the story and prepare high-quality presentations to deliver a clear message.
  • Work with legal department leadership to draft script for speaking engagements including conference sessions.
  • Manage, coordinate, and prepare submissions for awards and recognitions. Work collaboratively with legal department leadership to develop a clear story for submission. 
  • Identify additional award and recognition opportunities for the legal department that align with strategic objectives.

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of MS PowerPoint and Word.

Experience:

  • Have 7+ years’ relevant experience in communications, marketing or public relations. Legal industry writing experience and experience in a professional services organization preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
