Elevate’s client and leading Global Bank is currently undergoing significant change across its legal and compliance functions as they react to the changing regulatory landscape. To support this change, Elevate is supporting them with temporary resources to work on a wide variety of projects.

As a Business Support Specialist you will work under the guidance and direction of the legal and compliance team.

You might be the right person if you:

  • Have a strong understanding of accounting accrual systems and journal entries. 
  • Have familiarity with accounting budgets and forecasts.
  • Have excellent problem-solving skills, including exercise of judgment.
  • Demonstrate strong Communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Are effective at managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Pay meticulous attention to detail.
  • Are self-motivated and hard-working.

Specifically you will:

  • Compile and prepare journal and accrual entries during month-end close.
  • Prepare various reports and spreadsheets on a monthly basis.
  • Assist with accounting and administration of rates.
  • Compare actual to budget in monthly reconciliations.
  • Create Excel spreadsheets and pivot tables.

Experience:

  • Minimum of three or more years of experience in Financial Accounting, specifically experience with journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Experience working with Excel formulas and creating pivot tables.
  • Budget experience is a plus.

  • Attention to detail and superior reading comprehension.
  • Rapid turnaround in a fast-paced environment is a must.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work with cross functional organizations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.

Software Proficiency:

  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Powerpoint.
